Dr. Jacobson is a native to Aiken, South Carolina.  His interest in physical therapy was sparked by a summer job for an inpatient rehab hospital in Augusta. This new found interest led to employment at a newly built Hitchcock Rehabilitation Center in Aiken, SC through much of the 1990s.  During his time with Hitchcock he was involved in aquatic and land based therapy as support staff. He felt called to be part of the healing arts and subsequently began applying to PT schools and was accepted in 1998 to Elon University in North Carolina completing a Masters degree in 2001 and finally a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2006.  He’s been a practicing physical therapist since 2001 and began his career at a large teaching hospital in Eastern North Carolina. After returning to Aiken in 2004 he worked in skilled nursing and outpatient therapy services for the next 14 years.

He was exposed to the concept of myofascial dysfunction and its role in body pain as well as treatment involving dry needling and manual tissue manipulation during his involvement in an alternative medicine clinic starting in 2006. It became apparent that he wanted to be a part of what he had newly discovered as the best treatment for managing muscle tissue problems. In these past 11 years he has come to believe wholeheartedly that muscle tissue issues are at the origin of the vast majority of body pain.  Since this epiphany he has learned that using needling with manual tissue manipulation techniques is the pinnacle method to solve muscle tissue problems and subsequently the vast majority of body pain.
